Hilary Forrest – Synagogue Partnership Outreach Social Worker

Hilary Forrest joined DOROT as a Synagogue Partnership Outreach Social Worker. DOROT’s Synagogue Partnership Program supports eight synagogues across Manhattan, and Hilary is honored to work directly with Park Avenue Synagogue. Through her role, Hilary connects seniors and caregivers to DOROT’s incredible programs and resources. Some of DOROT’s offerings include wellness classes, onsite and virtual programming, friendly visitor relationships, holiday package deliveries, intergenerational programs, and more.
Previously, Hilary served as the Program Coordinator at the Manhattan Jewish Experience, organizing social and educational events for Jewish young adults in theirs 20s and 30s across New York City. She also worked as a clinical intern at Jewish Family Services of Ann Arbor, Michigan, during her first year of graduate school. While in Ann Arbor, she helped run the Senior Congregant Meal Program at the JCC of Ann Arbor, meeting with older adults once a week for lunch and a movie.
Hilary’s undergraduate degree is in public policy. She received a dual master’s degree in Jewish Studies and Social work from the University of Michigan School of Social Work.
Born and raised in Albany, New York, Hilary now lives on Manhattan’s Upper East Side. She is involved with various Jewish organizations. A huge sports fan, Hilary also enjoys running, spinning classes, and spending time with her family, including her two young nephews.
