Become A Member
Thank you for your interest in Park Avenue Synagogue! It is our pleasure to invite you to join our community and if you would join us and count you among our membership. We can assure you that once you join, you’ll find a multifaceted community ready to embrace you however you want to participate.
We live in challenging times, and many of us need a spiritual place of refuge. What makes PAS stand out isn’t just the talented clergy and committed professionals, it’s our members – from those participating in groups and committees to the babies in Young Family Education. We are a community in harmony, ready and waiting for you! As a member, you can challenge your mind through our educational programs, travel opportunities, and enroll your children in the Penn Family Early Childhood Center and Congregational School.
An important function of any synagogue is fostering community— connecting members to one another and encouraging the formation of lasting friendships. We invite you to get involved with one of our many clubs and groups for all ages and interests.
Our doors are wide open, and we are excited to be nourishing our community with robust, in-person worship and programming opportunities. We also will continue to find ways to engage members who at times want to connect with PAS remotely.
Park Avenue Synagogue welcomes all who wish to participate and deepen their Jewish identity, singles, couples, interfaith couples, individuals with disabilities, and all people regardless of age, race, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or financial means.
To get to know us better, we encourage you to set up a time to come visit us, and to learn more about why PAS is the right synagogue for you and/or your family. Feel free to speak with Sarah Cohen for membership questions and opportunities. We look forward to welcoming seeing you!
Affirming Our Values
We are excited to share the Park Avenue Synagogue Community Covenant with you. As part of creating our Kehillah Kedoshah (sacred community), these values represent our shared commitment to honoring and respecting each other. It is a symbolic affirmation that each member of the synagogue, staff, and clergy will follow its points. We are asking each PAS family to not only read the covenant, but also sign their names as we continue on our journey toward being a community committed to inclusion and respect.
