UJA@PAS promotes cooperation and collaboration between the synagogue, UJA-Federation of New York, and its many beneficiary agencies. Through mitzvah projects, speakers and other special events, our goal is to promote a synagogue culture that encourages gemilut hasadim (acts of loving kindness).
We are proud to collaborate with UJA and provide social service, communal engagement, and mitzvah project opportunities to our community.

Sort and Pack Medical Supplies with Afya Foundation
Fri / Apr 1 / 10:00am–12:00 pm / 140 Saw Mill River Road, Yonkers, NY 10701
Make an impact with a volunteer shift! Help sort and pack donated medical supplies in Afya's warehouse. Volunteers are an important part of Afya's operations and are the last to touch the critical supplies before being delivered to medical professionals around the world who provide frontline care.
Anyone age 5 and older can participate! For volunteers under age 18, a parent or guardian must complete an additional waiver. All volunteers must be fully vaccinated and show proof of vaccination with photo ID. Email Becca Newman if you have any questions or if you are interested in participating with a child.
UJA RESOURCES
CENTER FOR YOUTH PHILANTHROPY AND LEADERSHIP: TEEN PROGRAMS
Middle school and high school students can volunteer at UJA agencies throughout the city for community service hours. Volunteer opportunities can be one-time or ongoing depending on interests and school requirements. For an intensive and ongoing experience, students in grades 9–12 can apply to be part of the Philanthropic Advisory Council for Teens (PACT), an opportunity to meet Jewish teens from all over New York and to take a deeper look at the process of fundraising and allocation through a Jewish lens.
