Vote for the World Zionist Congress!
The election for the World Zionist Congress, the international “parliament of the Jewish people.” opened yesterday, January 21.
This past year, we have celebrated Israel at 70. From the 2018 Shabbaton to the Congregational Trip to Israel in December, we explored our relationships with Israel, digging deep for an understanding of the complex yet loving, sacred yet everyday connections we have with the modern Jewish state.
Approaching Israel at 71, we continue our engagement with a virtual celebration of Yom HaAtzma’ut. Through videos and photo retrospectives, we look at our relationships with Israel through multiple lenses.
Please revisit this page or visit us on Facebook and Twitter for all the videos, including the final one to be posted on Yom HaAtzma'ut.
We begin our celebration with a video of Sheheheyanu, sung by the participants on the Congregational Trip to Israel together with Cantors Azi Schwartz and Rachel Brook during Kabbalat Shabbat in Jerusalem last December. As the words of Sheheheyanu proclaim: "Thank you, God, for bringing us to this season."
