Shabbat Shalom from Russia!
Shabbat Shalom from Moscow!
The lights were bright, the energy high, and friendships were strong for PAS Teens exploring the wonderful city of Los Angeles, its Jewish history, and its present and future. A baker's dozen of teens toured Rabbi Cosgrove's home town under the leadership of Hallie Chandler and Rabbi Cosgrove himself.
The group enjoyed being tourists as they took in the scenic view from La La Land’s famous Griffith Observatory, toured Universal Studios, and explored the Chinese Theater to get pictures with their favorite stars. They enjoyed cultivating compassion at the Museum of Tolerance, meeting the past mayor of Beverly Hills, Jimmy Delshad, exploring art at The Broad museum, interviewing actor Marc Feuerstein, having a beautiful Shabbat dinner at Rabbi Elliot Cosgrove's childhood home, and going on a Paramount Studios tour. They had a wonderful weekend filled with fun and learning. “On this trip I was able to learn how one action can affect your entire life,” said traveler Lauren Abelow.
And the rain didn't stop them at all!
