Susan works in close partnership with PAS’ executive director, the administrative team, and the clergy to execute a range of projects and strategic initiatives across the synagogue to advance the institution’s mission.
Susan Zuckerman joined Park Avenue Synagogue as Chief of Staff bringing her vast experience in leadership roles. Susan works in close partnership with PAS’ executive director, the administrative team, and the clergy to execute a range of projects and strategic initiatives across the synagogue to advance the institution’s mission.
Prior, she served as Director of Development at the Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History as well as Director of Development for its Hamilton Education Program. Susan’s responsibilities included executing the organization’s strategic plan and directing multimillion-dollar fundraising efforts.
Her experience also includes her previous roles as Vice Present, External Affairs at the NYC Leadership Academy; Deputy Director at The Partnership for Inner-City Education; and Vice President at Goldman, Sachs & Co., where she led internal and external communication initiatives for the firm and several global business units.
Susan is a graduate of Connecticut College. She enjoys spending time with her adult children, and running, skiing, hiking, and biking in her time off. Susan lives in New York City with her husband.
