Class Dates & Registration Coming Soon!
This year for the first time we are offering classes taught by ECC educators! We also are introducing Gymnastics with Coach Natalie and Fastbreak Sports. In addition, we are planning to start classes earlier than ever before.
Registration for these classes will be coming out mid to late August.
Please reach out at email@example.com if you have any questions regarding this plan.
Gymnastics with Ms. Natalie (Open to all classes)
During this class, children will explore gymnastics movement through an obstacle course designed to help strengthen their gross motor skills. The obstacle course will incorporate age and development of appropriate gymnastics equipment and skills. Children will gain confidence, body awareness, and core/upper body strength all while developing a healthy relationship with movement. Equipment will change regularly but they can expect to see things like monkey bars, springboards, balance beams, and various vaulting blocks. There will also be some fine motor work using equipment such as parachutes, ribbons, scarves, and blocks. Ms. Natalie is very enthusiastic and loves to teach, so the kids will be sure to have a blast!
Fast Break Sports (Open to all classes)
Our specially designed curriculum provides young athletes of all ages with a healthy combination of skill development, competitive play, sportsmanship, and teamwork. Our “Fundamentals First” philosophy and a high coach-to-child ratio ensure that each child will improve at his or her own rate. With our unique approach, kids have a fantastic time playing. Our coaches are energetic, caring, highly trained, and above all, professional. In our classes and on our teams, we strive to instill the importance of hard work, working together as a team, gracious winning AND losing, celebrating successes, and learning from mistakes. Our coaches realize that as role models they are helping to build character, not just athletes.
Experiments and Explosions with Kyra (Open for Green and Blue Rooms)
Kids are natural experimenters and inventors. Learning science from an early age helps students understand the world around them. We are going to become expert scientists through a wide array of hands-on activities! Your scientist will conduct experiments, learn new concepts, discuss observations with friends, and learn how much fun science can be! Together we are going to learn to think critically, question, investigate, and begin to understand complex systems. This is the perfect opportunity for science discovery while students will dig into real-life scientific concepts that will be reinforced each week.
Music and Dance with Peri (Open to Green and Blue Rooms)
In Music and Dance with Peri, children will be exposed to a deep understanding of the connection between music and dance. Through Laban and Dalcroze techniques, the children will learn the different ways their bodies can move and how to notice those movement elements in the music they hear. This class will be exciting and physically engaging as children learn through their own movement. This class will build up their motor development as well as each child’s self-esteem and confidence.
Kids in the Kitchen with Danielle (Open to Orange and Purple Rooms)
As children don their chef's hat, they will have a blast getting hands-on experience cooking different types of food. In Kids in the Kitchen with Danielle, children will work on these skills as well as many academic skills as they follow a recipe, measure ingredients, and learn how various foods are made. The kitchen is a wonderful place for children to nurture their self-esteem and build confidence!
Crafting Calm with Hallie (Open to Orange and Purple Rooms)
In Crafting Calm with Hallie, we will explore all the realms of mindfulness. We will practice mindfulness through dance, movement, yoga, teamwork, and art! In Crafting Calm, we will create a collection of art projects and experiences that can be used to practice mindfulness in and out of the classroom. This class will be jam-packed with fun and vibrant activities that will allow for the exploration of mindfulness in an age-appropriate and exciting manner!
Artists in Action with Julia (Open to Yellow and Red Rooms)
Children are natural artists. In Artist in Action with Julia, children will get a closer look at various artists and learn different methods of creating. From Eric Carle=inspired collages, to Kandinsky inspire- circle art, children will have a blast as they get busy and messy as they work!
Books and Bites with Rachael (Open for Yellow and Red Rooms)
Have you ever wanted to try the cookie that was given to a certain mouse? What about Paddington’s favorite orange marmalade? Or even meatballs that fell from a cloudy sky! At Authors and Appetites, the students will enjoy a story and then have the chance to bring some of these famous fictional favorites to life. During this class, the students will not only stretch their culinary arts skills, but they will also grow their motor skills, teamwork abilities, and practice following multistep instructions in order to create a recipe. See you in the kitchen!
