Class Descriptions:
Gymnastics with Coach Natalie - Vendor
Sept 30th; Oct. 7th, 14th, 21st, 28th; Nov. 4th, 18th, 25th; Dec. 2nd, 9th, 16th; Jan. 6th
During this class, children will explore gymnastics movement through an obstacle course designed to help strengthen their gross motor skills. The obstacle course will incorporate age and development of appropriate gymnastics equipment and skills. Children will gain confidence, body awareness, and core/upper body strength while developing a healthy relationship with movement. Equipment will change regularly but they can expect to see things like monkey bars, springboards, balance beams, and various vaulting blocks. There will also be some fine motor work using equipment such as parachutes, ribbons, scarves, and blocks. Ms. Natalie is very enthusiastic and loves to teach, so the kids will be sure to have a blast!
Ready, Set, Learn! Play Based Academic Skill Building with an Educator

Come and work your fine motors skills experiencing different manipulatives, games and puzzles. Each week in Ready, Set, Learn! children will get an opportunity to work with special manipulatives, learn new games and try out tricky puzzles. During this class, the students will not only stretch their creative building skills, but they will also grow their small motor skills, teamwork abilities, mathematical thinking and ability to follow multi-step instructions.
Art Club with an ECC Educator

Art Club is a magical place where little hands and big imaginations come together to explore the colorful world of creativity. Designed specifically by our teachers for the ECC, Art Club aims to nurture each child’s budding artistic abilities, foster self-expression and ignite a lifelong love for the arts. In Art Club, the children will engage in a variety of hands-on art activities. Through a blend of guided projects and open-ended exploration, we encourage each child to unleash their creativity and develop skills in a fun and supportive environment.
Story Makers with an ECC Educator

Welcome to the whimsical world of “Story Makers“– the enchanting story-making class designed especially for preschoolers! In this magical adventure, little ones embark on a journey of creativity, imagination, and self-expression. “Story Makers” is more than a class; it's a magical expedition where every child becomes a storyteller, prop master, scriptwriter, actor, and dancer. Through this enchanting journey, our preschoolers not only foster creativity but also build confidence that will last a lifetime.
Zing! - Vendor

Run by the vendor Zing! their signature Zing! Fit classes are designed to help students to act mindfully, think positively, work collaboratively and have FUN through exercise. This class provides a physical outlet that will unlock your child’s full potential and help them to feel super strong! Classes & curriculums are tailored to your afterschool program and foster a social & safe movement environment for all.
Chess - Vendor

Session 3- Oct. 9th, 23rd, 30th; Nov. 6th, 13th, 20th; Dec. 4th, 11th, 18th; Jan. 8th, 15th, 22nd
Taught by the pros at Chess At Three, this class will introduce children to the art and history of chess through storytelling. They will create an unforgettable and interactive learning environment which teaches children, as young as the age of three, to play and fall in love with chess. The Chess At Three approach teaches much more than the rudimentary rules of chess. Chess At Three students also learn: The Importance of Sportsmanship, Literacy, Chess History, and Math, just to name a few. Lessons include interactive moments, physical movements (chessercizes), and guidelines for game play at each level of development.
Experiments and Explosions with ECC Educators
Oct. 10th, 31st; Nov. 7th, 14th, 21st; Dec. 5th, 12th, 19th; Jan. 9th, 16th, 23rd, 30th
Kids are natural experimenters and inventors. Learning science from an early age helps students understand the world around them. In this class, students become scientists through a wide array of hands-on activities! Your scientist will conduct experiments, learn new concepts, discuss observations with friends, and learn how much fun science can be! Together we are going to learn to think critically, question, investigate, and begin to understand complex systems. This is an opportunity for science discovery while students will dig into real-life scientific concepts that will be reinforced each week.
NYC Golf and Sport - Vendor
Nov. 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd; Dec. 6th, 13th, 20th; Jan. 10th, 17th, 24th, 31st; Feb 7th
NYC Golf & Sport connects with children socially, culturally, and academically to create a more adventurous way to get the ball into the hole. Each class has a theme that captures student’s imaginations. NYCGS instructs how to putt, chip, pitch, and full swing successfully. Stance, grip, aim, and posture are all presented in a child-friendly manner. Students advance into learning about the different kinds of golf clubs, the vocabulary of the game, rules, and scoring. Golf is heralded for its etiquette and sportsmanship and NYCGS honors that tradition in class. The most important thing is that your child associates the game with fun and that is NYCGS’s specialty.
Lunch Bunch
Lunch Bunch is available to our Indigo and Orange Roomers. During this session, students extend their school day and have lunch together with the Penn Family ECC Educators. Educators will help connect students with their peers while working on their social/emotional development of self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship skills, and responsible decision making. If you are interested in signing up for more than one day a week, please register additionally for each day.
Afterschool Enrichment Program Refund Policy:
We understand that plans change, so please review the following information before registering.
Last-minute student cancellations impact other students enrolled in the class and disrupt instructor’s plans. We created the policies below to be fair to everyone involved.
If your child is unhappy with a course, please contact us as soon as possible. We will determine refund eligibility on a case-by-case basis. We reserve the right to decide if a class is appropriate for your child depending on their behavior and social emotional needs. If we are able to issue you a credit toward another class during the current or next semester of afterschool, we will make every effort to do so.
With respect to sicknesses and COVID protocols, any classes missed due to sickness will not be reimbursed. If your child is in quarantine, due to a school policy, you will be prorated for that day and may apply it to another class the next semester.
