TEEN'S LET'S DO
"If I am not for myself, who is for me; and if I am (only) for myself, what am I. And if not now, when?”
Hillel, Ethics of the Fathers, 1:14PAS Food Pantry
The Food Pantry is a 35-year-old program at PAS. Our food pantry is coordinated and run entirely by teens. Volunteers meet year-round every Wednesday to prepare food packages, and on Friday afternoons, to distribute packages to hundreds of local families.
We pack and distribute from Sep 20 through June 14.
We will not be packing or distributing on the following weeks:
Oct 4 and 6
Nov 22 and 24 (but we have our Thanksgiving Distribution on Nov 22)
Dec 20 and 22
Dec 27 and 29
Jan 3 and 5
Feb 21 and 23
April 24 and 26
Friday Projects
In addition to our Friday food pantry distribution, we have a variety of other tikkun olam opportunities such as Days for Girls packing, Letters to Connect, and anything else you'd like to start! Just reach out to Ariel to start a new program!
Midnight Run
On December 2, 2023, PAS teens board a bus at 9pm to distribute winter clothes, food, and other essentials to New Yorkers on the street. Register here. Please donate by bringing winter clothes to PAS or via our Amazon Wishlist.
