
Sarah Cohen is the Director of Membership at Park Avenue Synagogue. A results-oriented and dedicated professional, Sarah has more than 10 years of learning and development experience in community building and donor engagement within the nonprofit sector. In her role, Sarah is responsible for the overall member experience, from the initial inquiry to full engagement and works closely with Adult Engagement, Clergy, Penn Family Early Childhood Center, and Congregational School.
Most recently, Sarah served as Director, Speakers Bureau at the Jewish National Fund-USA. Her responsibilities included speaker management and development, virtual programming, internal communication, lay leadership, contract negotiation, community outreach, and itinerary/travel support.
She also previously worked as Membership and Volunteer Coordinator at the African American Museum in Philadelphia working on campaign development and community engagement, volunteer training, and docent training.
A graduate of Temple University’s Fox School of Business, Sarah holds a Bachelor of Science in Tourism and Hospitality Management. Sarah and her husband live on the Upper East Side with their son. In her free time, Sarah enjoys cooking, making cocktails, and being with her family.
