The Wrong Reason to Malign (January 17, 2026)
On the Shabbat before MLK Day, Rabbi Zauzmer reminded us that while we can criticize the policies of our elected officials, we should celebrate religious diversity in leadership.
Due to inclement weather, the Park Avenue Synagogue buildings will be closed on Monday, January 26. All programming in the building is canceled, including Congregational School, Penn Family Early Childhood Center, Young Family Education, and Bnei Mitzvah tutoring. Morning and afternoon Minyan will be held online. Staff will be working remotely and remain available.

'Ani Ma'amin' From The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier & Clay
Artistic representation is an important way to remember the past. In collaboration with The Met Opera, PAS recently hosted an event with Mason Bates, the composer of The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier & Clay. The opera is set against the backdrop of World War II and the Holocaust; in honor of International Holocaust Remembrance Day, we are sharing this performance of “Ani Ma’amin” from our event.
