About the Trip

When is the trip?

It will begin in Mexico City on February 21 and end on February 25, 2027.

What will we be doing?

We will explore the rich history, vibrant culture, and thriving Jewish community of Mexico City. Through exclusive conversations with scholars, journalists, educators, and communal leaders, as well as visits to historic synagogues, cultural landmarks, and community institutions, participants will delve into the diverse stories that have shaped Jewish life in Mexico while engaging with contemporary questions of identity, leadership, and belonging. This immersive experience is an opportunity to connect with Mexico’s past and present through a distinctly Jewish lens.

For whom is the trip appropriate?

It is for adult members of PAS who identify as women.
Where can I get more information before registering?

Informational sessions will be held on Zoom on June 16 and September 15 at 5:00 pm.

How do I register for the trip?

Official registration will open on June 23. Registration will be first come, first served.

Is a deposit required upon registration?

To officially register, you must submit a non-refundable $750 deposit. If you have a deposit with J² adventures from the canceled November 2024 Israel trip, you may apply it to this one.

What is the cost of the trip?

The cost is $5,960 per person for a double room and $6,830 per person for a single room.

This cost does not include airfare or travel insurance.
When is final payment due?

Final payment is due by October 15.

What is the cancellation policy?

All cancelations need to be made in writing. Please note that the deposit is non-refundable.

Cancelations made until October 15, 2026 incur the loss of the deposit. Cancelations made between October 16, 2026 and January 6, 2027 incur the loss of 50% of the full trip cost. Any cancelations made from January 7, 2027 incur the loss of 100% of the full trip cost.

Should I get travel insurance?

We recommend buying a cancel-for-any-reason travel insurance policy. Please note that cancel-for-any reason travel insurance policies are time sensitive, and may usually only be purchased within two or three weeks from the initial trip deposit.
Who is our travel partner?

We are partnering with J² adventures.

Will we be flying together?

We will not be flying as a group. The group will meet at 3:30 pm on February 21 at the JW Marriott Hotel Mexico City Polanco.

What do I need to know about passports?

Your passport must be valid for at least six months after the final day of the trip.

May we arrive early?

You may arrive early as long as you meet the group in Mexico City on February 21. If you want help with hotel accommodations before or after the trip, call J² adventures at (888) 230-6008 Monday through Thursday from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm EST.

What are accessibility considerations?

Mexico City’s high elevation means that visitors may be susceptible to altitude sickness.

This trip is designed for travelers who are comfortable with a moderate level of activity. Participants should expect daily walking on city streets, sidewalks, museum galleries, archaeological sites, and other uneven surfaces. Visits to historic neighborhoods and sites such as Teotihuacan may involve extended periods of standing and walking, occasional stairs, and limited opportunities to sit. While private transportation will be provided between program locations, travelers should be able to walk independently and keep pace with the group. J² is happy to discuss individual accessibility needs and reasonable accommodations.
