Rabbi Shayna Golkow Zauzmer, who was the congregation’s rabbinic intern from 2017 to 2019, returned as assistant rabbi in 2022, and became associate rabbi in 2024.
From her ordination in 2019 until the summer of 2022, she was assistant rabbi at Temple Aliyah in Southern California.
Born and raised in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, she graduated magna cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania. She was ordained in 2019 by the Jewish Theological Seminary, where she was awarded the Rabbi Albert Pappenheim Prize in Professional Skills, the Rabbi Arnold Turetsky Prize in Homiletics, the Israel H. Levinthal Prize in Homiletics, and the Crown Scholarship, which is granted annually to the top two entering rabbinical students. Rabbi Zauzmer, her husband, Ben, and their son live on the Upper East Side.
