Erev Shavuot Youth Service
Celebrate all we have learned over the past year – whether in school, at the synagogue, or at home – with song and prayer as we remember z’man matan Torateinu, the time when our ancestors received the Torah.

Tikkun Leil Shavuot
With Great Devotion: The Book of Ruth
As we mark the biblical transition from exodus to revelation, we also celebrate the transition of our colleague, friend, and teacher Marga Hirsch. Though her title was officially Publications Editor and Library Director, Marga has touched many areas of our community through her 11-year tenure at PAS, from the Penn Family ECC to Melton, from the Purim Spiel to the Book Fair. Marga will teach a selection from Megillat Ruth, and we will toast to her as we celebrate all she has shared with our community.
Pull an All-Nighter
When was the last time you pulled an all-nighter? One way to observe Shavuot is to stay up all night learning. (Rumor has it our ancestors slept in at Mount Sinai and were late to revelation, so we're making up for their mistake.) Kick-start your evening with PAS rabbis, diving into their favorite texts of the season.
8:15 pm with Rabbi Witkovsky
9:00 pm with Rabbi Zuckerman
9:45 pm with Rabbi Philp
