The Haggadah is an ancient text, originating in the second century C.E. For most of Jewish history, the text remained quite stable. But in the early part of the 20th century, Jews began to revise it to make it more meaningful in their lives. We’ll look at Haggadot  composed during WWII for Jewish soldiers in the British army, for Israeli soldiers during the 1948 Independence War, and from kibbutzim that helped found Israel in the 1940s and 1950s.
