In partnership with CaringKind, PAS is offering a 10-week psychoeducational group for caregivers of spouses/partners experiencing mild cognitive impairment or various types of dementia, including Alzheimer's, Lewy body, vascular, frontotemporal, or mixed dementias. Each of the 10 unique sessions focus on providing foundational knowledge about disease progression, adapting to changing relationships, coping with grief and loss, engaging a broader support system, grappling with legal and financial considerations, and the role of spirituality.
Group Dates: Jan 8, 15, 22, 29 / Feb 5, 12, 19, 26 / Mar 5, 12, 19
PAS Social Worker Suzanne Redlich, LCSW, and CaringKind Social Worker Shira Felberbaum Kedem, LMSW, MS, will co-facilitate this educational series. Groups are limited to 12 participants. Please register as this group requires a consultation call with Redlich to complete enrollment. This group is for people caring for a spouse; we will offer a separate program for adult children caring for a parent.
