Featuring leading theater stars, the production Shabbat on Broadway was an inclusive experience that blended prayer and inspirational show tunes – the first time a Shabbat service has taken place on the Broadway stage. Produced by Amanda Lipitz and Henry Tisch, with creative and liturgical input by Cantor Schwartz, this event fostered a sense of togetherness during a challenging time for Jews worldwide.
It began with a video of NYC cantors convened by Cantor Schwartz, who sang Hinei ma Tov to "Oh, What a Beautiful Mornin'," which was quite fitting for an event taking place at the St. James Theatre, the site of Oklahoma’s original premier. Wishing you a Shabbat Shalom.
