Over 18 weeks, you will be introduced to Jewish history, culture, and values. With the class, you will study the fundamentals of Jewish history, explore the rituals of a lived-Jewish life, and learn practical skills with guidance from our clergy. You will have the opportunity not only to explore your own Jewish journey but also to connect with a community through a shared experience of spiritual learning. The Pathways course is the beginning of a lifetime journey of possibilities within the Park Avenue Synagogue community.
Course Reflections
From Past Students
The best part of Pathways is that it’s just the beginning—of friendships that grow stronger, a more meaningful and fulfilling life, and a richer, more engaging synagogue experience. After completing Pathways, I feel well-equipped to share the beauty and wisdom of Judaism with others, carrying forward the lessons and connections I’ve made.
Whether you’re looking to deepen your connection with Judaism, gain a general understanding of its rich traditions, or connect with an incredible group of people, I highly recommend Pathways.

Pathways encouraged open dialogue and respectful sharing of perspectives, creating a rich learning environment. The class connected Jewish teaching and practices to daily life and real-world situations.
Participants felt a sense of belonging and formed meaningful connections with each other and the instructor. Pathways is a great opportunity to feel connected to Jewish heritage, explore your Jewish identity, or consider conversion.
