Tara Liberman, PsyD, founder of the Jewish Community Mental Health Initiative (JCMHI), and Joshua Simmons, PsyD, discuss the impact of antisemitism on the mental health of the Jewish community.
Founded in the wake of October 7th, JCMHI mobilizes and trains mental health clinicians to provide a supportive, compassionate, and inclusive space for members of the Jewish community. JCMHI has facilitated over 1,600 support groups for the Jewish community worldwide. In addition to direct support, the group provides resources and education and conducts research on antisemitism to inform and enhance its clinical work.
Learn about JCMHI's research on antisemitism and how the group addresses the unique mental health needs of the Jewish community, including providing a safe environment to process complex emotions, traumatic experiences, and grief, and how it helps foster emotional support, build resilience, and nurture meaningful connection within our community.
