This class is designed for students who can already read Hebrew at a basic level and wish to deepen their skills. It offers a blend of modern Hebrew and liturgical (prayer book) Hebrew, with a primary focus on understanding and engaging with the prayers.

Michal Nachmany is an educator and self-taught artist. She has been teaching Hebrew in New York City for three decades as well as exhibiting her work across the tri-state area, Taiwan, and Poland. She sees her art as an extension of her work in education, using it to bridge past and present. She has experience teaching modern and liturgical Hebrew, Hebrew conversation, and translation, and has worked with converts to Judaism, Bnei Mitzvah groups, and more.
