In the wake of the October 7 attacks and many universities’ lack of strong response to rising antisemitism on campus, Marc Rowan, a major funder and chair of the board of advisors of The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, encouraged donors to “close their checkbooks” until major changes are made on campus. Rowan and Rabbi Cosgrove will discuss how we can advocate for change on campus and beyond.

Marc Rowan is a co-founder and CEO of Apollo Global Management. He is on the boards of directors of Apollo Global Management and Athene Holding. He also is chair of the board of advisors of The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. A civically engaged philanthropist, Rowan is chair of the board of UJA-Federation of New York. He is also a founding member and chair of Youth Renewal Fund and vice chair of Darca, Israel’s top educational network that operates 47 schools with over 27,000 students throughout the country’s most diverse and under-served communities.
