Jewish Disability Awareness and Inclusion Month (JDAIM) Begins

In February, in recognition of JDAIM, PAS offers programming that addresses issues of inclusion that affect the community.  On Friday evenings, members will speak from the bimah during Kabbalat Shabbat on topics ranging from raising a Jewish child with autism to personal faith when dealing with a child with mental illness.  In addition, we will be screening the movie Swim Team with a talkback and discussin following the movie.

Here is a list of planned events:

Friday, February 1: Nina Mogilnik: "God Can See My Son, Can You?"

Friday, February 8:  Sharon Thomas: "Why Inclusion Matters: Giving a Voice to Learning Disabilities within our PAS Community"

Cosponsored by the Inclusion Committee, Women's Network, ECC Parents' Association, and Adult Education Committee.
