Dr. Zelizer and Dr. Jacobs will reflect on the state of politics in the US today and take questions about how the intersection of politics and economics affects your generation.

Julian Zelizer, a member of PAS, is Malcolm Stevenson Forbes, Class of 1941 Professor of History and Public Affairs at Princeton University. A prolific author of books, articles, and book chapters, he is a regular news commentator on radio and television and in print. He has been one of the pioneers in the revival of American political history.

Meg Jacobs, a member of PAS, is a Senior Research Scholar in the Woodrow Wilson School at Princeton University, teaching courses in public policy and history. Her books include Panic at the Pump: The Energy Crisis and The Transformation of American Politics in the 1970s and Pocketbook Politics: Economic Citizenship in Twentieth-Century America.
