High Holiday Captains

Be a part of creating a meaningful experience for your fellow teens for the High Holidays. Work with Niki throughout the year to create programs, events, and a teen Machzor for the upcoming High Holiday Session.

Thu | Weekly, begins Jan 10 | 5:30–6:15 pm | 90th Street, Music Room
Park Avenue Synagogue’s teen a cappella group is making a comeback! Bring your voice and your spirit and join in. No prior music experience is required. If you can hum, we’d love to have you. We’ll meet weekly to rehearse high-energy tunes that you don’t normally hear in the Sanctuary (and to eat pizza), and there will be opportunities to perform throughout the winter and spring seasons. If you’re interested or know someone who might be, please contact Josh Rosenberg at jrosenberg@pasyn.org. Hope to see you there!

Rock Band

The PAS Teen Rock Band is a gem of the music department. The group of 8th-12th graders meets once a week to practice and to explore the world of contemporary Jewish music. They share their experience with the community throughout the year, by performing on Mitzvah Day, at Rock Kabbalat Shabbat, and occasional concerts. To learn more about the Rock Band, contact the band director, Josh Rosenberg at jrosenberg@pasyn.org.

Purim Spiel

Be part of an intergenerational production for the Purim Spiel of 2019. For months they practice and on Purim night they sing and celebrate. Join the family of actors and actresses and find out what will be the rabbis' next embarrassing costumes. More info here.
