Vicki K. Wimpfheimer Mitzvah Day
Sun | Nov 24 | 10:00 am–1:00 pm | 87th Street
A few days ahead of Thanksgiving, think of all you are grateful for, and give others a reason to give thanks, too. With our commitment to the value of tikkun olam, repairing the world, Mitzvah Day is a long-standing tradition at PAS. Year after year, our entire community feels good through doing good together. “Earn” your tikkun olam candle for the rededication at this flagship community event. Whatever your age or your interests, there’s a way to volunteer!

Highlights Include:

• Make sandwich lunches for homeless New Yorkers.
• Wrap gifts with care and love with our joint UJA@PAS and Women’s Network toy drive- donate a toy here.
• Sort coins from tzedakah boxes, so the money can be donated to our welfare fund.
• Help save lives and donate to our Blood Drive
• Learn in a Study Circle with our clergy to put our giving in context and think about how and why we give.
• Help a young girl dress to feel her best by donating gently used dresses and new shoes to Project Prom.
• Prepare care packages on behalf of charitable organizations supporting families, youth, and seniors in NYC as well as Lone Soldiers in Israel.
• Take a break with a mitzvah-themed book selected by our PAS librarian, or check one out to read at home as a follow-up to Mitzvah Day.
• Enjoy performances by our PAS Rock Band and Youth Choir.
• And more!
