HOW TO APPLY
PAS’s Penn Family ECC, like many other early childhood centers, is an ISAAGNY (Independent School Admissions Association of Greater New York) school and follows their admission guidelines and dates. This means that you will be notified in writing regarding your child’s admissions status on the agreed-upon ISAAGNY notification date.
Although we wish we could accept all of our applicants, we receive such a large number of applications from Park Avenue Synagogue families (including siblings), that we are not able to accommodate everyone. We give special consideration to involved, long-term PAS members, but even this does not guarantee admission, as we balance classes based on age, gender, and other factors. Nonmembers are required to join Park Avenue Synagogue once their child is accepted into the school.
The admission process for the 2023-2024 school year will be open to children born on June 30, 2021, or before. Applications for PAS members will be reviewed beginning on August 1, 2022. Nonmembers may apply then, but their applications will not be reviewed until September 6, 2022. All applications are due by Friday, October 30, 2022.
There is an application fee of $75 per child. The application process includes a visit and tour of the school by one or both parents and a separate visit with the child.
