A new wave of disability rights activism is spreading across the country. In this timely, uplifting discussion hear about the work to be done in this space and how we can achieve progress together. Intertwined with this dialogue, we will have a Q & A of Judy Heumann’s memoir, Being Heumann, and hear about her role in the film, Crip Camp.
Judy Heumann is an internationally recognized disability rights activist. Some of her accolades include being the Special Advisor for International Disability Rights to former President Barack Obama and helping craft the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act.
