Kol Nidrei Appeal
Provides for a significant proportion of the synagogue’s annual operating expenses, allowing PAS to remain financially stable and secure while continuing to provide our membership with outstanding worship, educational, and social opportunities. Adult Education Fund
Supports classes, lectures, and workshops for adult learners from yearlong courses to mini-series, one-time lectures and workshops offered by world-class speakers and teachers from our local community and from all over the world. Click here to donate.
Supports the Bikur Cholim committee which offers support for members facing either long-term or short-term illness. The committee’s activities include visiting congregants at home and providing assistance in reaching medical appointments. Click here to donate.

Congregational School Fund
Supports educational programming for children in grades K-7, including curriculum development, classroom materials, and professional development for educators. Click here to donate.

Supports the PAS Food Pantry which distributes food packages to hundreds of local families in need throughout the year. The Food Pantry is a 30-year-old program coordinated and run entirely by teens who meet year-round to plan, procure, prepare and distribute food packages. Click here to donate.
General Contributions - Life Cycle Occasions
Making a donation to the synagogue is a wonderful way to acknowledge a birthday, anniversary, Bar or Bat Mitzvah, birth of a baby, move to a new home, or any other happy occasion, as well as to honor the memory of someone who has recently passed away. Supports the acquisition and maintenance of the library, a circulating collection open to the entire congregation for leisure reading and study. Click here to donate.

Prayer Book Fund
Supports the purchase and maintenance of prayer books and books of Torah readings (humashim). Making a donation to the Synagogue is a wonderful way to acknowledge a birthday, anniversary, Bar or Bat Mitzvah, birth of a baby, move to a new home or any other happy occasion as well as to honor the memory of someone who has recently passed away. A donation of $118 or more will be commemorated with a bookplate in our new Shabbat and Festival prayer book, Siddur Lev Shalem. A donation of $180 or greater will be commemorated with a book plate in our book of Torah readings, Etz Hayim. Click here to donate.
Shapiro Audio Archive
Supports the digitization and database of the recordings made at PAS from 1954 to 2004. This audio archive includes sermons, guest speakers, original music and recordings from important historic occasions. Click here to donate.
Supports the activities of the Tikkun Olam committee. The committee runs the annual Vicki K. Wimpfheimer Mitzvah Day, as well as many additional year-round efforts supporting the less fortunate in our community, New York City and throughout the world. Click here to donate.
Enables the synagogue to respond to confidential requests for financial assistance from members. Supports the distribution of Passover packages to needy Jews, and enables efforts to dispense compassionate care to Jews in nursing homes, assisted living, mental health facilities, and correctional institutions. It is traditional to make a charitable donation on the anniversary of a loved one’s death. By giving tzedakah in a person’s memory we continue the good they did in their lifetime and to make their memory a blessing. Supports the general programming and operations of the synagogue. Yizkor (Book of Remembrance)
Each year Park Avenue Synagogue publishes The Book of Remembrance, which lists the names of departed loved ones. The book is used on Yom Kippur at Yizkor, the memorial service, and again when Yizkor is said on Shemini Atzeret, Pesah, and Shavuot. The deadline is past for listings in the 5777 Book of Remembrance. Information about listing loved ones’ names in the annual Yizkor book is available in June for the following Yom Kippur. Young Family Education Fund
Supports year-round programming for families with children ages 0-6, including Shabbat and holiday worship and classes. Click here to donate.
