Viktoria Bedo joined the Park Avenue Synagogue team as rabbinic intern in July 2019. Now in her fourth year of rabbinical school at JTS, Viki is a Wexner Graduate Fellow. She looks forward to being part of the PAS community until she is ordained in May 2021, when she will also receive an MA in Jewish Law.
Viki grew up in Budapest, Hungary, and has strong ties to the Hungarian Jewish community, where she often teaches and writes. After studying at the Conservative Yeshiva in Jerusalem for two years, she came to the US to attend Brandeis University and graduated with a BA in Near Eastern and Judaic Studies and International Global Studies. As a rabbinical student, Viki has worked as a Jewish education consultant for BBYO and was a rabbinic fellow through Hillel's Office of Innovation, doing millennial outreach on the UWS. She led Shabbat services at Atria Senior Living and completed her unit of chaplaincy training working with Holocaust survivors in Washington Heights and the Bronx.
In her free time, Viki enjoys running, going to the theater, and planning creative menus for Shabbat meals. Viki lives on the Upper West Side with her husband, Jonah.
