Rabbi Koffman
Using the “Foundations for a Thoughtful Judaism” curriculum from the Shalom Hartman Institute, this course will explore the concept of faith and its role in Jewish life, the human relationship with God, and the interplay between faith and what transpires in the world, especially in times of turmoil. To what degree does God intervene in world affairs, and why? What is the relationship between human action and initiative and Divine involvement in the world? Who is God in moments of tragedy and in moments of blessing?
