In fulfilling our mission to inspire, educate, and support our membership towards living passion-filled Jewish lives, Park Avenue Synagogue has become a flagship of the Conservative movement. Our growth reflects focus, will, and love on the part of our clergy and staff and, above all, on the part of our lay leaders and members. Achieving such success has been made possible through the most generous support of our congregants.
We have recently completed a capital campaign to expand and enhance our campus; however, the work of building our people’s future is never ending. If you are interested in learning more about capital opportunities, please contact our Director of Development, Hadley Rolf.

In December 2019, Park Avenue Synagogue successfully completed a once-in-a-generation capital campaign, A Synagogue in Action: Building the Future, with the rededication of our renovated and revitalized East 87th Street building. This celebration came two years after the October 2017 opening of the Eli M. Black Lifelong Learning Center on East 89th Street, a custom-designed, technology-enabled space built for learning, socializing, and worship.
The objectives of A Synagogue in Action: Building the Future went beyond meeting our fundraising targets. We hoped to better strengthen our vibrant community through broad participation and to create physical spaces that built on the achievements of our predecessors, addressed present needs and anticipated our future needs.
Through the tremendous success of this campaign, we all became stakeholders in our shared Jewish journey.
