The fourth lecture in The Park Avenue Synagogue Lecture Series: The Shifting Landscape of American Jewry will feature two speakers: Rabbi David Ellenson, PhD of HUC-JIR and Rabbi Jacob J. Schacter, PhD of Yeshiva University. They will speak on the topic: Jewish Tradition in an Untraditional Age. Rabbi David Ellenson, PhD is the President of Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion (HUC-JIR) and the I.H. and Anna Grancell Professor of Jewish Religious Thought. He is internationally recognized for his publications and research in the areas of Jewish religious thought, ethics and modern Jewish history.

Rabbi Jacob J. Schacter, PhD
is University Professor of Jewish History and Jewish Thought and Senior Scholar at the Center for the Jewish Future at Yeshiva University. He is an award-winning author and the Founding Editor of The Torah u-Madda Journal, an internationally-acclaimed academic publication.
