Address to the Annual Meeting of Park Avenue Synagogue
Steven M. Friedman, Chairman of the Board of Trustees
May 17, 2012
All members of Park Avenue Synagogue have the opportunity to participate in the governance of the congregation and recognize the members of the synagogue who volunteer their time and effort to make our community flourish. The Annual Meeting will include the Treasurer’s Report, a vote on proposed amendments to the synagogue’s by-laws, and election of new members to the Board and Advisory Council.
The United States National Holocaust Museum in Washington, DC held its annual Days of Remembrance Ceremony in the U.S. Capitol Rotunda on Yom HaShoah, Thursday, April 19. Once a month, we celebrate the arrival of Shabbat with musical instruments and song. Generously supported by the Jennifer & John Monsky Musical Traditions Fund.
Every year on the Shabbat morning during Pesah we take time to reflect on and celebrate the accomplishments of our fabulous, student-run High School Food Pantry Program. One of our student program directors, Jonathan Aisenberg, will address the congregation.
