Vav and Zayin learners are reaching a milestone in their Jewish journey, their Bar or Bat Mitzvah. Through learning with Rabbi Cosgrove and Rabbi Zuckerman along with exploration of tikkun olam (social justice), Jewish heroes, history of the Holocaust, Israel and Hebrew, these learners are taking their next steps towards becoming Jewish adults. Learning units will culminate with an “experience day”—whether that be a trip to a community service organization, a guest speaker or an elective series.
